I will be honest in that I did not design this piece but found it online and like most of my projects I was inspired and quickly drew up scaled shop drawing and began fabricating for my wife for Mothers Day. The case itself is simple enough. I used frameless construction with full overlay slab doors. The wood I used  for this armoire’ is white ash stained with a honey oak water based stain with a water based laquer finish.

I then had my metal guy fabricate the support frame that is designed to give the appearance that the armoire’ is floating in air. The support comes from a 1/2″ piece of metal inset and bolted into the top. Thus the apron at the top to conceal the hardware. All of the metal is painted with a satin black enamel with matching door pulls from Berenson. The drawers are all solid wood with dovetail joinery with full extesion “Blumotion” slides.

All in all this project took me 4 days to fabricate and 2 days to finish
